Test clicks in Pinegrow let you interact with your page just like it would be displayed in a normal browser. In this mode you can navigate through your website pages by clicking on links and access interactive features of your page, like responsive menus, modals…
Using Test clicks
Being able to navigate through the pages of your website (or through live pages open with Open url) directly from within Pinegrow just by clicking on the links can be very convenient and there are 2 ways to proceed:
Enabling Test clicks for all the links in your documents
By activating the option Test clicks, you can click on hyperlinks in the page just like in a normal web browser. External links are opened in new tabs and anchors behave as expected.
Quick Test clicks (SHIFT + Click)
Using SHIFT+Click will tell Pinegrow to let the page handle the click – open a link or interact with dynamic elements on the page.
Interact with and edit dynamic elements
Test clicks can ALSO be very useful to select different states of an element and view/edit the corresponding CSS and HTML of dynamic elements on the page, like modals and collapsable menus.
For example, you may want to edit the CSS settings of a Bootstrap menu in mobile view and so, you have to display the content of the menu to access its settings.
In Pinegrow you can use Test Click to unfold the Bootstrap menu and then edit its layout or CSS rules.
